About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Admission Yogi. They apply whenever you create an account, use the free tools, buy a subscription, or book a session with a counselor.

By creating an account or making a purchase you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Two other documents form part of this agreement and are worth reading alongside it: our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we hold and why, and our Refund Policy, which sets out the money-back guarantee and the rules for one-to-one sessions.

Who can use Admission Yogi

Admission Yogi is built for high-school students and the adults helping them plan. Our current programme is written for 9th and 10th graders, which means most students using it are minors.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and must be the one to make any purchase. By buying a subscription or a session, you confirm you are the parent or guardian of the student it is for, or that you are at least 18 and buying it for yourself.

A parent or guardian may ask us to review, correct, or delete a student's account information at any time by emailing us.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information entered into an account, and for keeping login details private. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been accessed by someone else.

Free and paid access

A free account includes a readiness grade, the college search and simulator, and one analysis a month. It does not expire and does not require a card.

A paid subscription adds the monthly pathway, profile scoring tracked over time, an initial one-to-one session, monthly office hours with our counselors, and new grade-matched content as it is released.

The product is released over time rather than all at once. Features described on the site as forthcoming are our current plan, not a commitment to a delivery date, and we may add, change, or retire parts of the service as it develops. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell subscribers.

Prices, billing, and renewal

Prices are shown on the site before you buy and are charged in US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Annual subscriptions are billed once for a full year. Where a monthly option is offered, it is billed each month with no minimum term. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period so that access does not lapse mid-year.

If you bought at a founding rate, that rate is held for as long as your subscription stays active and continues to apply at renewal even after our list price moves. Letting a subscription lapse ends the founding rate, and re-joining later is at the price then current.

Taxes may be added where they apply. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

Cancelling

To cancel a subscription or turn off automatic renewal, email admissionyogisupport@gmail.com from the address on the account. We will confirm in writing once it is done. We do not yet offer a self-service cancellation screen, so email is the way to do it and we treat a cancellation request as effective from the day you send it.

Cancelling stops future charges. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for — your access continues until the end of that period.

Refunds

Subscriptions carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, measured from the release of your first monthly module rather than from the day you paid.

One-to-one sessions are bought individually and are not covered by that guarantee, because a delivered hour cannot be returned. They can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours beforehand.

The Refund Policy sets both of these out in full and is the authoritative version.

One-to-one sessions and office hours

Sessions are scheduled through a third-party booking tool and are delivered by video. A session is credited to you from the moment you pay and does not expire.

Counselors give guidance and perspective. They do not complete applications, write essays on a student's behalf, contact colleges for you, or represent you to any institution.

We may reschedule a session when we have to. If we do, you can choose a new time or take a full refund for that session.

What Admission Yogi does not promise

Nothing in the service is a guarantee of admission, a scholarship, financial aid, a test score, or any other outcome. Colleges make their own decisions on their own criteria, and no product or counselor can commit to what they will do.

Guidance, readiness grades, pathway recommendations, and projections are educational planning tools based on the information entered and on general patterns. They are estimates, not predictions, and they are not academic, legal, financial, immigration, or mental-health advice.

Parts of the service use automated and AI-assisted suggestions. These can be wrong or incomplete. Treat them as a starting point for a conversation with a person, not as a decision to act on unchecked, and verify anything that matters — deadlines, requirements, course choices — with your school and with the colleges themselves.

Information about colleges, tests, scholarships, and deadlines is drawn from public sources and can go out of date or contain errors.

Using the service properly

Please use Admission Yogi for its purpose: planning one student's path. Accounts are for a single student and the adults supporting them, and are not to be shared, resold, or used to run a counseling practice for other families.

Do not copy, scrape, republish, or redistribute our content, and do not use automated means to extract it. Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.

Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, or belonging to someone else, and do not impersonate another person. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or medical records; the product does not need them.

Content and ownership

What you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it so that we can run the service, personalise guidance, and support you — no more than that. Our Privacy Policy governs how we handle it.

The platform itself — the curriculum, written material, scoring approach, software, and brand — belongs to Admission Yogi. A subscription is permission to use it for your own planning while the subscription is active, not a transfer of ownership.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may act on them without obligation or payment.

Suspension and ending an account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to harm another person, or is used fraudulently. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

You can ask us to close an account at any time by email. If we close an account without cause during a paid period, we will refund the unused part of it.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, third-party outages, and faults happen.

Some parts of the service depend on third parties — payment, scheduling, authentication, hosting, email — and interruptions in those services can interrupt ours.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Admission Yogi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any admissions, scholarship, financial, or academic outcome.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page and post the updated version here. Material changes affecting paid subscribers will be sent by email.

Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
